‎The political atmosphere of Ogun West has once again come alive as various community development organisations and progressive groups across the district have unanimously declared their support for Hon. Olayiwola Waliu Taiwo as their preferred and anointed aspirant for the Ogun West Senatorial seat in the 2027 general election.

‎This significant endorsement came during a combined meeting of the 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 (𝗖𝗗𝗖), 𝗔𝗿𝗲𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 (𝗔𝗖𝗗𝗖), and 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 (𝗖𝗗𝗔), held in conjunction with the 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗬𝗮𝘆𝗶 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 2027 and 𝗣𝗕𝗔𝗧 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗺 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁. The historic event took place on 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 11, 2025, at Irelope CDA, in Sango Ota, Ogun State.

‎The gathering witnessed a massive turnout of leaders, stakeholders, and community representatives from across the five local government areas that make up Ogun West Senatorial District. The air was filled with excitement and renewed hope as chants of solidarity and songs of endorsement echoed through the venue, welcoming Hon. Olayiwola Waliu Taiwo, fondly called H.O.T., as the “People’s Choice” and “Anointed Aspirant” for 2027.

‎According to the joint resolution of the groups present, Hon. Olayiwola Waliu Taiwo has distinguished himself over the years through his humility, accessibility, and unwavering commitment to grassroots development. The leaders noted that his track record of community service and loyalty to the progressive ideals of the All Progressives Congress (APC) make him the most suitable aspirant to continue the outstanding legacy of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi), the current senator representing Ogun West.

‎Speaking on behalf of the gathering, the Chairman of Ijoko,  ACDC, alongside the CDC and CDA leaders, described Hon. Taiwo as a bridge-builder and true grassroots mobilizer who has been instrumental in uniting various political and community groups under one vision of progress. He was praised for his consistent support of developmental initiatives, empowerment programs, and his dedication to community welfare without discrimination or bias.

‎The Unity for Yayi Project 2027, a movement established to sustain the achievements of Senator Yayi and ensure continuity of good governance, also lent its full support to Hon. Taiwo. The group emphasised that leadership in Ogun West should be entrusted to individuals who understand the people’s needs and possess the political will to pursue projects that will uplift the senatorial district.

‎In his brief remark, Hon. Olayiwola Waliu Taiwo expressed deep gratitude to all the groups and stakeholders for their unwavering confidence in his leadership. He assured the people of his total commitment to promoting the interests of Ogun West at the national level. He further stated that his ambition is not self-driven but rooted in a collective mission to sustain the ongoing progress initiated by Senator Yayi and to consolidate the development strides of the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration in Ogun State.
