Ayietoro Yewa North Local Government witnessed an unprecedented political awakening yesterday as the incoming Senator of Ogun West 2027, 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗢𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗶𝘄𝗼𝗹𝗮 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘂 𝗧𝗮𝗶𝘄𝗼 (H.O.T), took his ongoing 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗻 to the ancient town of 𝗔𝘆𝗶𝗲𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗼, the political and traditional headquarters of Yewa North. The visit turned into a grand political carnival that drew the attention of residents, leaders, and stakeholders from every ward across the local government area.
From the early hours of the day, the atmosphere in Ayietoro was filled with excitement and anticipation as supporters, youths, and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) trooped out in large numbers to welcome Hon. Taiwo and his entourage. The entire town was practically shut down as political heavyweights, community leaders, and different support groups converged to show their unwavering solidarity and love for the man widely described as the people’s choice and the future voice of Ogun West at the Senate come 2027.
The consultation meeting was graced by 𝗔𝗽𝗲𝘅 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗣𝗖, 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗴𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀, 𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗼𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 from various communities across Yewa North. Others in attendance included representatives of youth organizations, women leaders, and political support groups who came to pledge their support for Hon. Taiwo’s senatorial ambition.
Speaking during the event, several community leaders lauded Hon. Olayiwola Taiwo for his humility, accessibility, and consistent contribution to the development of Yewa and Awori land. They noted that his deep understanding of grassroots politics and his long-standing commitment to community empowerment stand him out as a leader with genuine passion for his people.
In his address, 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗢𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗶𝘄𝗼𝗹𝗮 𝗧𝗮𝗶𝘄𝗼 (𝗛.𝗢.𝗧) expressed profound appreciation to the leaders and people of Yewa North for the warm reception accorded him and his team. He emphasized that his visit was not just a campaign but a consultation an opportunity to engage with stakeholders, seek advice, and build consensus around his senatorial ambition.

Hon. Taiwo highlighted the need for unity and cooperation among all Yewa sons and daughters, stressing that the time had come for the region to consolidate its political strength to achieve greater representation and development. He also appreciated the good works of Senator Olamilekan Solomon Adeola (Yayi), describing him as a political mentor and a bridge-builder who has inspired many young leaders in Ogun West.
Several youth groups and women associations also took turns to express their support, describing Hon. Taiwo as a visionary leader with the right experience, energy, and empathy needed to continue the progress already being witnessed under the current leadership in the district.
The high point of the event was the formal endorsement of Hon. Olayiwola Taiwo by key leaders and stakeholders in Yewa North who described his political consultation as timely and commendable. The crowd erupted in chants of 𝘏.𝘖.𝘛 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘚𝘦𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘦 2027. as the consultation team moved around to meet various interest groups and opinion leaders.
