On Wednesday, November 5, 2025, Hon. Olayiwola Taiwo paid a working visit to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office in Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State. The visit was aimed at assessing the ongoing voter registration exercise and identifying the challenges being experienced by residents.
During the visit, one of the high points was his interaction with residents from 𝗘𝗿𝗲 𝗪𝗮𝗿𝗱 and 𝗔𝗱𝗼-𝗢𝗱𝗼 𝗪𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝟭 & 𝟮, who were still at the INEC office around 𝟴:𝟬𝟬 𝗽.𝗺. waiting to be registered. The crowd had gathered since morning but faced delays due to persistent network failures on the INEC registration site, which greatly slowed down the process.
The Electoral Officer (E.O.) of INEC Ota, in his briefing to Hon. Taiwo, explained that the network challenges had affected the smooth operation of the registration system throughout the day. He, however, assured that no eligible voter who came for registration would be left unattended, promising that everyone present would be captured before the end of the exercise.
In his address, Hon. Olayiwola Taiwo commended the patience and determination of the residents who waited tirelessly into the night to perform their civic duty. He appealed to them to remain calm and resilient despite the technical hitches, emphasizing that their participation in the democratic process is vital to building a stronger representation for Nigeria, Ogun State, Ogun West and Ado-odo-ota L.G.
Demonstrating true leadership and empathy, Hon. Taiwo stayed at the INEC office until the 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗘𝗿𝗲 𝗪𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗱𝗼-𝗢𝗱𝗼 𝗪𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝟭 & 𝟮 was successfully registered. His presence and encouragement further motivated the people and reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that every citizen has the opportunity to exercise their right to vote.
