In a remarkable show of solidarity, respect, and appreciation, 𝗛𝗼𝗻.𝗢𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗶𝘄𝗼𝗹𝗮 𝗧𝗮𝗶𝘄𝗼, popularly known as 𝗛.𝗢.𝗧, on Sunday hosted the leadership and members of the 𝗔𝗴𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀, one of the most influential agricultural associations in Ogun State. The delegation, led by 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗠𝗿𝘀. 𝗣𝗼𝗽𝗼𝗼𝗹𝗮 𝗜𝘆𝗮𝗯𝗼, widely known as 𝗠𝗮𝗺𝗮 𝗘𝗿𝗲𝗹𝘂, visited Hon. Olayiwola Taiwo to express their gratitude for his continuous support, his advocacy for grassroots farmers, and his unwavering commitment to the growth and development of the agricultural sector in Ogun State.
The appreciation visit also featured the presence of the 𝗢𝗴𝘂𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗪𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗻, 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗢𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘄𝗮𝗷𝘂 𝗬𝗮𝗸𝘂𝗯𝘂 (𝗛𝗼𝗹𝘆) , who accompanied the farmers’ group to further strengthen the message of unity and cooperation between political leadership and agricultural stakeholders. His presence underscored the importance of collaboration in driving sustainable development across various sectors of the state, especially agriculture, which remains a major pillar of livelihood for thousands of households in Ogun.
Speaking during the visit, 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗠𝗿𝘀. 𝗣𝗼𝗽𝗼𝗼𝗹𝗮 𝗜𝘆𝗮𝗯𝗼 (𝗠𝗮𝗺𝗮 𝗘𝗿𝗲𝗹𝘂) praised Hon. Olayiwola Taiwo for his hands-on leadership style and his readiness to listen to the concerns of farmers. She noted that the agricultural community in Ogun State has continued to benefit from his open-door policy, community-based initiatives, and supportive interventions aimed at empowering local farmers, improving productivity, and strengthening cooperative structures.
According to Mama Erelu, the Agbeloba Group has witnessed significant improvement in their operations due to the encouragement and guidance they have received from Hon. Taiwo. She emphasized that such consistent engagement from leaders like him gives farmers hope, confidence, and a sense of belonging in the development agenda of the state.
In his remarks, 𝗛𝗼𝗻.𝗢𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗶𝘄𝗼𝗹𝗮 𝗧𝗮𝗶𝘄𝗼, who also serves as the 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, expressed deep appreciation for the visit. He commended the Agbeloba farmers for their resilience, commitment to food security, and their role in sustaining the agricultural economy of Ogun State. He reaffirmed that his passion for developing the sector is driven by the need to empower rural communities, reduce poverty, promote employment, and ensure that farming becomes more profitable and attractive for the younger generation.
He further assured the group of his continued support, promising to intensify efforts toward strengthening agricultural cooperatives, facilitating access to modern tools, and pushing for more government-backed initiatives that will improve the welfare of farmers across Ogun State.
The visit ended on a positive note with prayers, words of encouragement, and renewed commitment from both the farmers and Hon. Taiwo to continue working together for the advancement of Ogun State’s agricultural development.
