The attention of the public, members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and stakeholders across Ogun West Senatorial District has been drawn to a misleading claim circulating on social media alleging that Hon. Jimoh Ojugbele has emerged as the APC Consensus Senatorial Candidate for Ogun West Senatorial District.
We wish to categorically state that this claim is false, unfounded, and should be completely disregarded.
At no time has the leadership of the APC in Ogun West Senatorial District, Ogun State, or any authorized party organ announced or endorsed any individual as a consensus candidate for the forthcoming senatorial election. No meeting, consultation, or official party decision has produced such an outcome.
The APC remains a democratic political party guided by due process, internal consultations, and established party procedures. The emergence of candidates can only be determined through legitimate and officially recognized party mechanisms.
The general public, party faithful, and members of the media are therefore advised to disregard this false claim and ignore any unofficial publication or social media report suggesting the emergence of a consensus candidate.
Only announcements issued through recognized party authorities and verified communication channels should be regarded as authentic.
